Notes:

1. Bar codes printed with an ink jet printer cannot be obscured and can only be read by a bar code reader which uses visible light.
2. A high-carbon-content ribbon may be required if printing bar codes - see Note 3 below.
3. Bar codes that are to be obscured need to be printed either with a laser printer or with a dot-matrix printer using a high-carbon-content ribbon.
