Depending on requirements, all Q›TAR Systems (eg.
Time & Attendance Management, Access
Control, Data Collection,
etc) can be configured in many different ways, depending on the
Operating System requirements.
Configuration examples include:
- Single User system running on a single PC (DOS or Windows)
- Multi-User system running on a network of PCs (LAN, WAN or mixture)
- Multi-User system running on a VMS system or cluster
- Multi-User system running on a Unix system or cluster
- Client-Server system with "thin Clients" running on Windows PCs and the Processing Servers + Database Server running on:
- Windows NT/2000/XP server
- Unix system
- Open VMS system
- any SQL database on any platform
- Client-Server system with "thick Clients" running on Windows PCs and the Database Server running on:
- Windows NT/2000/XP server
- Unix system
- Open VMS system
- any SQL database on any platform
Existing Q›TAR clients can of course migrate to a
Client-Server system.
